What I've Been Doing

It appears I have abandoned my blog.

I have abandoned the blogosphere in general, in fact. I read not one blogged word in the past week until I visited Dawn's today to find out if the World Series was over, and if so, who won. (I'm very good at living in a cocoon.)

But I've been doing. I've been working on a 2000-word story, interviewing and researching and writing. I've been creating Halloween costumes, both conceptualizing them and actually building them with glue and needles and thread. I attended an adult Halloween party (where no one identified, nor asked about, mine or Cowboy's Very Creative Costumes. This would not have happened in Boston!). I watched the first figure skating competition of the season. I've almost finished writing and revising my book proposal. I've played in the park with my kids. I've been thinking about NaNoWriMo, which I intend to participate in.

And as always, I've been putting hundreds of miles on the damn car.

I'll be back on 1 November. I'm promising to post at least once per day for the month of November. You are encouraged to start thinking up consequences for when I fail.
